André Dahmer is a visual artist, poet, and cartoonist, born in 1974 in Botafogo, Rio de Janeiro. So far, he has published eleven books over his 25-year career. He created comic strip series like Malvados, Quadrinhos dos anos 10, Vida e obra de Terêncio Horto, and Algoritmo, among others. Winner of five HQmix awards and a Jabuti trophy, Dahmer publishes daily strips in the newspapers O Globo and Folha de S.Paulo. The comic character known as «The Algorithm» – who wears  an orange and yellow  radiation protection suit or an astronaut’s spacesuit –  was created as part of the comic strip series called «Quadrinhos dos Anos 20» (Comics of the ’20s).  Author´s page: http://www.andredahmer.com.br/
